Nursing care

1. Follow nursing process in assessment analysis nursing diagnosis, care plan implementation & evaluation
2. Demonstrate & carryout efficient nursing care taking care of personal comfort & requirement of the patients.
3. Observation and recording of vital parameters.
4. Attending ward round with doctors.
5. Assisting doctors in examination of patients & performing procedures..
6. Preparing required articles, trays/ trolleys and making them available for procedure, examination etc.
7. Assist participate with clinical investigations, collecting labelling & dispatching specimens.
8. Taking care of patients hygiene needs like sponge bath oral care, skin care, catheter care, perineal care etc.
9. Taking care of elimination needs .
10. Taking care of safety needs.
11. Assist in activities of daily living.
12. Administration of medications oral parenteral IV infusions transfusion and other treatment. Carryout technical procedure like N/G tube insertion, catheterisation, oronasal position trechoslomy section, ET suction dressing etc.
13. Supervise & assist patients diet feeding.
14. Pre and post operative care of the patient.
15. Reporting to the doctors about patients as & when required.
16. Care of the dying & dead.
17. Maintenance of patients records and documents.
18. Giving and receiving reports.
19. Following safe nursing practices & proper infection control measure.
20. Escorting serious patients for investigation, transfer etc.
21. Providing health education, counseling & psychological support to patient & their family members.

Ward management

1. Proper handling/ taking over of patients and their records.
2. Proper handling/ taking over of inventories emergency drugs, disposables, equipments and records.
3. Maintenance of all documents, registers etc as required by the organisation.
4. Attending ward rounds wih ANS/ NS.
5. Proper handling, segregation & disposal of biomedical waste.
6. By supervising & teaching housekeeping staff & other subordinates.
7. Maintaining general cleanliness of the ward.
8. Supervising & teaching nursing students.
9. Maintaining good pr with all members of the health care team.
10. Reporting of death, accident or untoward happening to ward incharge ANS/ NS.
11. Attending inservice training programmes.
12. Keep updated about new trends & technologies in the field of nursing.
