When in 2019, COVID 19 hit the world, we all thought it would gradually fade away, but with 2020 ending we all got to know that it was only the tip of an iceberg. With the onset of 2021, although vaccination brought some good news, but at the same time the world-wide spread of new COVID variants and its quick transmissibility became a concern for the world.

Delta Plus is so far found to be more contagious and has the capability to spread almost 60% faster in comparison with certain other variants. That is the reason it has been declared as a ‘variant of concern’ by Indian Government.

COVID Symptoms of Delta Plus Variant

Known symptoms caused by the Delta Plus variant are: dry cough, diarrhea, fever, skin rash, chest pain, headache, stomach ache, discoloration of fingers & toes, loss of smell, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, nausea and more.

The Delta Plus variant can also infect lungs, due to its greater binding capability to the receptors of lung cells, and it can lead to severe drop in oxygen level.
